Undergraduate

The UMass Psychology Department often has opportunites for undergraduates to serve as teaching assistants for course credit. Check the list below, and check the bulletin board outside the Advising Office (Tobin 503) for the latest offerings.  TA postings typically start to appear shortly before the registration for the upcoming semester and continue to be posted up to the add/drop period for a semester -- so check for new postings periodically!

To register for credit, TA contracts are due to Tobin 503 NO LATER THAN two business days before the end of add/drop period!!   Contract available for download on the RA/TA/Internship page.  Remember, you can only register for a total of 19 credits unless you have an override from the Dean.  Requests for course overloads must be submitted electronically at: http://www.cns.umass.edu/students/academic-advising/forms

Psych 499D Explorations in Psychological Practice
Attend class, advise students when needed, help with arranging video equipment, library reserves, keep records. Psy499D is a 7 credit Capstone course for Honors seniors. The TA supports students who must complete a Culminating Experience project and a 4-6 hour practicum.

Psychology major, senior preferably in Honors College, completed Psych 380

Psych 100 -- Introductory Psychology
Attend classes on M, W, F at 9:05 in Mahar 108; also attend TA meetings F at 8 am. Lead a discussion group, assist in class activities, and assist in miscellaneous class duties. Hold weekly 1 hour office hours. 

Psychology 100. Preference given to juniors and senior psychology majors though other students will be considered
